Michigan Home Improvement Featured Project - Remodeled Kitchen, Breakfast Room & Laundry Area
Brad Edwards Painting & Home Improvement LLC has built its company name on a dedicated work ethic, skilled craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The following is our featured remodeled kitchen, breakfast room and laundry room project.
Subject: Historic House in Indian Village
Challenge: The client requested remodeling of the kitchen, breakfast room and laundry area in their historic Indian Village, Detroit, Michigan house. An interior window and door of the 100-year-old plus home needed to be removed to open up the kitchen to the breakfast area. The entire kitchen, breakfast room and laundry room area walls needed to be removed down to the studs to replace the ceilings and walls. To replace the old flooring, a new floor needed to be installed over the old.
Solution: The current ceilings, walls and flooring were removed and the studs were exposed. New walls, flooring, ceilings and custom cabinets were installed. Included below are the before and after photos.

| The window and door were removed to open kitchen up to breakfast room. The range was removed from the island, and was replaced with a sink. Silastone counter top was installed. |

Added door to laundry room, custom cupboards, Island was built larger, added Silastone countertops with raised bar, new light fixtures, sink, & custom tile work again on back wall. |

| Repaired and finish painted all woodwork and walls in the breakfast room. New Hickory hardwood flooring was installed.

All new windows were installed in the breakfast room. Deteriorated wood was replaced around the windows and finish paint.
